Ok, this is evil.

I am looking for performance parts and body parts for my Cavalier z24, its an '89 and I swear, no one carries a damned thing. Anyone know of any cars that the performance parts are interchangable with the '89 z24? How about body parts?

I mean, they have the 89' ASTRO VAN listed, but not the Cavy.

short of going to all custom, you would appear to be SOL, cavy's havent really been recognized as worth of performance tuning until recently and the parts dont go back much past '92

It is very hard to find but try and look around for a 1989-1990 Grand Prix Turbo (wrecked probably your best bet) . They came equipped with a 3.1L V-6, which is basically the same as a 2.8L, just stroked. The turbo is a straight swap I have heard. Just get all of the turbo stuff along with the computers and all.

The modifications are good for 205 hp at 5200 rpm, with 225 lbs.-ft. of torque at 2400. Maximum torque was actually governed by the computer to avoid overloading the beefed-up automatic transaxle on teh Grand Prix.

Other than that, I think you are right when you say that the aftermarket support for these cars sucks!! About the only other things that you can do is suspension, and maybe nitrous would help out, but I am not a fan of nitrous.

Back when I first got my z24 I was cruising the J-body network regularly. I picked that info up from a lot of those sites. I don't have any specific web addresses, but I'm sure if you look around you can find all the info you need.

Keep in mind that the 89-90 ( I actually think it was only the 1989 ) Grand Prix Turbo was only produced in very limited numbers, so they are very hard to find...but they are out there.

Grand Prix, thats a pontiac right? Any chance I could order that directly from them?

As for molding on a body kit, how does that look? Any Ideas for me as far as what kit to buy?

Yes it is Pontiac. I have no idea about if you can still order the parts directly from them, but if you can, it will be VERY expensive. You know how manufacturers overprice individual parts. I suggest talking to the guys at
http://www.performanceyears.com/cgi-...ultimatebb.cgi
I am sure they can help you better than I can. Good luck, and PLEASE post all the info you gather. I bet there are tons of people who would like more info on this.

edit: This guy may be able to help you out also http://www.turboz24.com/

molding a body kit is just cutting or adding fiberglass to get the direct fit. the only body kit that would fit for your year is the 91-94 combat kit at www.fxdesigns.com

Talking I found one.

Check this link. Http://www.onderground-design.com/an...enu/menu.html. It is made out of fiberglass but the manufacturer claims that their kit is stronger than stock.:bandit:
