1976 Suburban Seat Covers

Hello,
I just purchased a beautiful 1976 Suburban. The only real draw-back (at the moment) is the condition of the seats. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a complete set of seat covers? Also, how difficult are repairs on the bench seats? I've seen that kits are available, but I don't know how difficult it might be to install one. Please advise. Thanks.

Re: 1976 Suburban Seat Covers

as far as buying new covers i would try a local marine upolstry shop for boat seats. and if u want to put them on yourself you will need a set of hog ring pliers, these you may be able to get at a parts store if not try to catch the snapon guy at one of your local shops, they usually have a set route. doing the install yourself requires removeing the seats from the truck, cutting all old hogrings off then remove the skin, if it is in anykind of shape for the upolserer to use save it. its not all that hard but very time intesive.
