got another ticket this morning

i just got my 2nd traffic ticket this morning while i was on the way to pick up my girlfriend and go to school. its for speeding, 50 in a 35. im really pissed at my self. i have to tell my parents when they come home. the fine is $180. i got my 1st ticket a few months ago, not more then 12, and i took the driving class. so that means i cant take it again right? i just have to pay for this ticket, have points put on my license and then not get any more tickets for a long time...

Florida Traffic School

You can only take Florida Traffic School once every 12 months and five times in a lifetime. Florida police issued 4.4 million traffic citations in 2003, the latest year for which records are available. A little more than 531,000 were considered criminal traffic violations for which traffic school was not an option.

A speed of 15mph over is a three point violation. Even if you were able to get it reduced to something else it would still be two points. It would be worth your time to contest the ticket and hope for a dismissal if the officer doesn't show or they may even offer a nonmoving. Better than taking the hit. If you are a minor one of your parents will have to go with you.

Have your parents check their insurance renewal. It may pay to change companies prior to this going on your record. Often you can actualy get a better price just by comparison shopping. Here is a link to one of the more popular auto insurance internet sites.

Re: got another ticket this morning

You still haven't learned your lesson. Well man you live and you learn. I would check for each word to be spelled correctly, and hopefully get it thrown out. Then just re-schedule court date until copper dont show. Otherwise dont fret over it. When I was in Highschool man, I can't even think of how many tickets I got. It was alot. But in 3 yrs it was off my record and in 4 yrs the ins. co. dont pay no attention. Clean slate brutha. 50 in a 35, thats alot man. Even for a km man like me, even tho my jeep is all in miles. I don't speed much anymore, but I must say I did do 35 in a school zone (whats that 15?), never realized it till I saw the "end of playground zone" sign. Man did I have my eye's peeled for the copper spitting out his donut and lighting me up. That was a rare occasion for me.

Hey kid, if you got cruise control on your ride, use it. It will save you coin.
