radio clock stays on, battery drains????

I have a 94 s10 blazer, I have noticed that the radio clock stays on all the time and after about 2 days of sitting the battery is almost dead. I load tested the battery and it is still good. Is the clock suspose to stay on all the time or is my radio bad. thanks

Yes, it stays on because of the memory...(memory is pulled from hot 12v) But you should be able to turn off the display.
