is it possable to clean maf sensor yes
I read this in an email
"So I cleaned the MAF by removing it from the housing, spraying it with non-residue electrical contact cleaner (auto parts store) and very lightly brushing the wires carefully with a miniture paint brush (hobby shop). Car idles way better then before, makes more power, does not seem to have the flat spot any longer, and overall runs better then I have ever seen it run. But I have not pulled the BARO reading from the computer or checked MAF idle voltage yet to insure it is working 100% correct (see TSB link above for details)." what kind of cleaner would he be talking about? the crc electronic cleaner I see at autozone? How do you go about cleaning it? **update** ok after looking on the internet i found a few similer pages. Has anyone personal experiance with it? http://www.fordf150.net/howto/clean-...low-sensor.php http://www.berrysweb.com/clean_your_maf.htm

Re: is it possable to clean maf sensor yes
I had an 88 Mustang GT with a similar setup. This was one of the first mass-air Mustangs Ford produced. They weren't as fast as the speed density cars, but you weren't as limited on the mods.
Anyway, I cleaned the mass air sensor with a Q-Tip and alcohol and noticed a big difference in performance immediately. Be careful not to bend it or poke the actual wire in such a manner that it loses it's original shape. |

Grab a used one from a 91. More air flow, with a little but or fitment adjustment.
I tryed cleaning mine and ended up with nothing more then a pain in the arse. |
