Daytona no spark

I am setting my 91 Daytona 2.5L up for a local track ( Oval ). Car ran great up till 2 weeks ago. Now I have no spark at the coil wire. I have 12 vlts at the positive side of the coil but no ground on the negative side of the coil. I checked the negative wire going to the PCM and it is good. I have changed the Hall effect pick up, checked the wires from there to the comp and they are fine. It is looking like the PCM is the problem, but would like to be sure before I drop a couple bills ( 200 ) on a non returnable part. Any help would be much appreciated.

Tom

After checking all the wiring I have ordered a new computer. I got it online at Parts America. Cost is $193 plus a $70 dollar core charge that will be refunded when I return the old one to a store nearby. I will let you know how it turns out.

Re: Daytona no spark

Don't know why looking for ground on neg side of coil. Did you have power on neg side of coil? If not you have a bad coil. The coil doesn't ground until ready to fire the coil. And that ground happens very quickly.
