h/p gains

i have a 1997 gst with greddy type-s bov k&n air intake with hardpipe and a hks hi-power cat back with apexi 3" downpipe, i am looking to upgrade my turbo but no real h.p gain listings are posted, they say "can support" so im just asking what kind of h/p would i be expecting from a small 16g and an evoIII big 16g gt both with 550cc injectors and a new fuel pump ............thanks guys

Re: h/p gains

It depends on your boost level. Lets say u bolted on a evoIII big 16g with 550cc & walbro 190 or 225 fuel pump, u would probably be around 260-270 hp on 15-16 psi. I think thats how strong it is, maybe im wrong.. can some1 correct me? Well you would probably want DSMlink and or apex'i SFAC 2 to tune the car right. The 16g turbos can go around 320-350hp at around 22-24psi i think. Again i dont know if this is true or not or if im close but this is what id expect off your list.

Re: h/p gains

My friend has a small 16g 550's, a wally fuel pump, safc II,and a front mount runs 17psi @ 271whp.

Add a intercooler to your list of parts to get and you can run 18+ psi on good (93) street gas. If your in cali, keep it to 18 on street. With your list of stuff, and a intercooler you could probably break 300 no sweat with good fuel tuning. EVO III has near double the flow rate as the t-25. (290 vs 550cfm) and is good for 400hp. Awsome turbo. Turbo is good for 24psi, but can be run higher....lol my friend ran his 16g at 31psi for one night then blew it and bought a 20g.
