Frozen Fuel Pump replacement

I need some advice...I own a 91 s10 blazer 4.3 4x4 with 120000 miles. There has been a pretty great loss of power over the pst few months. I want to change the fuel filter, but the threads that hold it to the steel fuel lines are rusted on. I have tried spraying penetration fluid on it, yet it hasnt worked to loosen the nuts. Can anyone think of another way to fix this? can I somehow cut the lines and use a different filter without threads and reattach it with some rubber hose and clamps? Any advice would be greatly helpful. Thanks.

you could, but just remember( if you ever go off road) that you have rubber lines underneith. i ve heard of some doing it.
have you tried using 2 pairs of vicegrips to loosen it?

Use line wrenches... That way you can apply the torque needed without damaging the nuts..

I didnt want to use vice grips. I used flare wrenches, yet, to no avail. That filter is not comin off and I do not wanna mess up the lines. I appreciate the advice, yet I do have another question...
How would one cut the lines? They are rusty and steel. Obviously, i would not use a torch or hacksaw, a spark near the fuel system can really cause a problem. I was wondering what would give it the cleanest cut, without crimping or ruining the line. If you can help me, I would appreciate it! Thanks.

use a pipe cutter like the one plumbers use to cut copper tubing, just clamp it on and then spin it around tightening it ever once in a while until it cuts through. it has a sharpened disk kin dof like a pi zza cutter. that should do the trick perfectly.
