I say go out the passenger side, makes the car look nice, and if you can make it go out the driver side too then it will look mean.

I agree with you, it's almost impossible, there is really no room under the body for dual pipes. I tried, nothing worked. If you put it out the sides you would probably be hitting the pipes all the time, I tried that too.
Let me know if you find a way?

i put it out the side, i have shorties with a y pipe, my y pipe comes to normal spot right before the catso i took off everthing after the y pipe, put a 90 2.5 inch pipe, and then a 2.5 inch straight pipe cut the body weld thingy under the door and bent it up, cut teh pipe to be even with the door, and hung it, it comes out about 3/4 down the passenger door, reallly racey, anything over 2.5 ur gonna hit, and its really loud, loud enough bombin around town, but its like open headers when u open her up. ill get pics

Re: straigt pipe

True duals is a no-no on 3rd gens like stated above....I know a person that put true duals on his 3rd gen w/ a 327 (mind you he was told not to, but he wanted them!) Now the car has no ground clearance whatsoever.

My .02$

The best way to make em come out the sides would be to cut holes into the side skirts, but thats just too much work, BUT if you DO make it like that, your 3rd Gen Camaro will be one of the most badass 3rd gens ever seen.

Re: straigt pipe

this is the only website that i have been able to find that has many pics of dual exhaust on a 3rd gen. this site is closed right now but I saved it on my computer, but I forgot to save the larger pictures... anyway check it out. don't bookmark it... save it on your computer cause the link will change.

I really like that website you gave about the dual exhaust. Looks way cooler than the one muffler out the back. Im telling ya, if I had a weld shop of my own id definately go dual, But for now it's too much money, and it's hard to get good ground clearance even with the stock exhaust....I hit on almost everything if I'm not careful
What i'm wondering is why GM didnt design the third gens with dual exhaust from the beginning?

no side skirts sorry guys, but pics soon, i may change it, simply becuase it may be more old style hot rod to come out to the back tire rather than cut it out under the passenger door
