Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

im acquiring a 91 si soon but im yankin the motor (i get the side yard at mi casa) and im gonna rebuild it, with ARP bolts of course. The JR supercharger claims 140 hp to the wheels... im assuming with bolt ons. just doin my research tho... i dunno how u can really find out what internals can handle without trial and error. 140 to the wheels tho... that would scream. wuts the real word on the crx curb weight, 1900? 2000? ive even heard 1800.

Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

JRSC would be a waste for the price IMO...if you want boost www.turbod16.com but do a search of the forum 1st b/c they don't like answering redundant questions

want 140whp...do a b16 swap and bolt ons...probably be a lil bit more than the JRSC...but for a general info...check out the FAQ's

at least 2000lbs for the crx with a full interior. good luck on the buildup. as for the sites i too use hondaautomtiveparts.com or the dealer if im in a bind. if time isnt a problem, then ebay always has parts.

Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

I hope your not talking about putting stock rods and pistons back in. If so don't shoot for that 140whp goal. Stock d rods are only rated for around 200hp. Plus I have found that the dealership is just as cheap as any online site I have found.

Not to be redundant or anything...

In this order I go to:

hondaautomtiveparts.com
eBay
then the dealership (overpriced whores!! *ahem*)

Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

nah i wasnt thinking about stock rods... but i was under the assumption the pistons are forged? i dont think the jr sc is a waste of money... 35 lbs of torque added seems coo to me. but im inquiring about the crank strength because i dont want 8 psi i want the step up pulleys

Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

No stock rods are not forged. Why do you choose the JRSC instead of a turbo setup?

Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

no lol i said the pistons not the rods!@# i thought the pistons were forged :] i chose JRSC cuz i didnt think greddy made a kit for the A6... JRSC is carb legal. I plan on replacing all the internals, except for the crank if i can get away with it.

You will be fine, the crank you can pretty much consider bulletproof, I have NEVER heard of anyone replacing or having trouble with a honda crankshaft holding any amount of power. YOu will definitly be fine.

Re: Where do you all buy ur oem parts?

I purchase my OEM parts from the local Honda dealership. I'm in there so often that they actually give me a 10 - 15% discount on my parts.
