hole next to handbrake....

My fiance just got a 96 del sol and its missing the compartment next to the hand brake. Im looking on ebay, but i didnt know if this is an ash tray or a cup holder? thanks

Ash tray. The only cupholders are in that armrest thing behind the e-brake.

it breaks a lot. You usually have to look around ebay/other forums for the complete middle console. Look for people with totalled cars who are parting them out.

is it the very small peice right behind the e-brake or the larger peice next to the e-brake

Ive got the b16 96 sol, and I have the blank behind Ebrake, and it has a little bubble as if a LED would be in there, but, there is no wiring or anything. My car had a lot of wiring shit done before I got it as well.
But I would like to know what that blank is for as well.

i have the 95 sol with the b16 Vtec and it has nothing there just a blank with no wireing but also would like to know what the 2 blanks on the rear peice are for by the lock for the rear boxes...i also have a ashtray for sale if some one wants ill sell it for 15 plus shipping

The blank right behind the ebrake is for JDM crap... on JDM cars, the foglight switch is there. And yes, I said FOG light and not AUX light. JDM cars have small foglights at the bottom of the bumper (which I want more than I can even begin to explain...). Most of the blank spots in USDM cars are where something was installed for a JDM or EDM car.
