GMC 2500HD, robbery or deal?

New poster with a ton of questions!

I've found a used '05 GMC 2500HD CC SLE 4x4 with the 6600 turbodiesel, auto trans (I assume it's the Allison) tow package, all power, Helo rims, and Rhino-lined box. It's got 19K miles on it. I've run it through Carfax and it comes back clean. The dealer is asking 38k for it and is offering 8800 on my 95 GMC 1500SLE, which is about 2800 more than what I thought I'd get and it's burning oil.

Admittedly, this is more truck than I need, I only pull a a waverunner and a 3k pound motorcycle trailer on occasion, but the reputed longevity of diesels and the improved mpg would be a definite plus, since I drive to Northern California and Western Pennsylvania from Oklahoma a few times a year.

Is this a reasonable deal?

I've heard some unflattering things about the injectors, is this a real problem, and if so, what's the solution?

Oil changes... how often?

Any other issue's to be concerned about that might bite me in the wallet?

Sounds like a good deal. I'd jump on it.
