Crazy build
Here's the basic idea, my friend wants to put a Gen. III 6.0L ( http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/120/...ate-Engine.htm ) in a silvy like mine 94-98 (or whatever has the newer styling with the black mirrors). This engine come with a good deal of stuff and the idea is to do most the the work ourselves. But im sure there are also numerous other thing that would be required. Namely a wiring harness and all that type stuff. Also he wants a built 4L80E and new transfer case to go with that but would there be any point in getting a new t-case? His only plans were to remove the engine, trans, and T case out of the truck and sell them and then just put all the new stuff in place and do all the basic stuff and haul it to a mechanic to get it running. I can price the main things like the engine, trans, and T-case. But he needs to know how much any extra things will cost to see it such a thing would even be something affordable. He has and would be selling a 98 ranger and i think his price range for the total cost would be around $12000-15000. Can anybody give be some ballpark idea of what else would be needed and some sort of price estimate? Thanks.

Re: Crazy build
Yeh that would be alot easier but im thinkin he wants somethin thats pretty fast...and such a truck would certainly be quicker than any new truck you can buy.
