OBD1 to OBD2 swap?
If I go and put a JDM B18c1 GSR OBD2 (96-01) engine in my OBD1 95' GSR will I have to do any modifications like changing the ECU or wire harness? Thanks guys.

Re: OBD1 to OBD2 swap?
why would you put a gsr engine, into a stock gsr. you only gain a few hp. not worth the cost

Well because first of all the engine that I have in my car now is junk. Head bolts were stripped. So if I start fresh I decided to just drop in another B18c1 because of the reliablity and strength and then later on installing a turbo kit and then way later on having it rebuilt so that I can run more boost. I know it would seem easier just to have it built right now the first time but with my plans it's not going to work like that. But to answer my question will an OBD2 motor work in an OBD1 vehicle with little to no modifications?

Re: OBD1 to OBD2 swap?
yes, just swap over your dist and injectors. idk about the o2 sensor, if they are the same or not. just match it up to your stock o2 sensor, if they are different then use your stock o2 sensor
