Interesting psi question
So I was online and searching for hondata and i came across a guy selling chipped ecu's and he says that he can make it run like hondata he just needs to know what psi im running and my setup. I was skeptical and asked him how he would know how much fuel to add b/c i know different turbos make different power at the same psi. then he replies by saying that psi is psi, its all the same. is this true. is the measure of psi the same for all turbos? like if i run 7 psi on my t3 will it be the same if i rum 7 psi on a t3/t4 or will the bigger turbo create more pressure at the same psi? someone please give me a good explanation of the measure of psi so i can finally prove to myself that this guy is shit.

Re: Interesting psi question
no psi is different for each set up. For example if you have 8 psi and an intake temp of 200F w/o an intercooler, you have a lot less air than if you have the same set up w/ an intercooler and w/ a lower intake temp. If cars weren't affected by intake temps, humidity and amount of air, then your car should run fine w/o a mass airflow sensor or a MAP sensor....but it won't.
Different turbos move different amounts of air at the same psi.....10 psi on a Super 60 is a lot different than 10 psi on a TD04.

Re: Interesting psi question
well technically psi is the same for all turbos, its how much cfm's the turbo flows at that psi is the difference

Re: Interesting psi question
he's going to sell you a chipped ecu with a basemap. it will run but is only designed to get you to the dyno it wont last long than a month without tuning

Re: Interesting psi question
psi is psi. Airflow and air density is what tuning is for. there is no way somone can make a chip based on psi alone. bov's, mbc's are for psi, hondadata, safc2, exc are for airflow.
