Make the shadow fly

Hey guys. I race an 89 Dodge Shadow on a half mile asphalt track. The division is for beginners with American made 4 cylinders, with the biggest engine being a 2.5. Well, thats what I got. Is there anyway to make the car fly without spending too much many or pulling heads or anything like that. Maybe just plug something in here or pull this out here trick? If you can think of anything, please let me know.

Thanks

remover the air conditioned compressor and all of that junk. the condensore u lose lots of weight plus without it driving that ocmpsser with the belt u free up some extra tourque. exhaust. take the 2 inch and convert to to a 2 1/2 inch makes a word of difference.
