amsoil synthetic oil/filters/ etc.

I have seven vehicles, four Chevys and three BMWs so I'm kept busy with maintenance.

I've been hearing good things about Amsoil from people who are users, not dealers. If you Yahoo or Google it you will find hundres of dealer sites online.

They have a 0-30W synthetic for which they promise 30% plus mileage improvement, up to 35,000 mile oil changes with the oil and double bypass filtration set-ups (similar to diesel truck equipment).

I don't mind spending serious bucks on preventive maintenance; mostl of my vehicles are between 200,000-400,000 miles, but the Amsoil claims sound too good to be true.

Any experiences good or bad, people?

Thanks for your suggestion, igovert. I've searched other posts but almost all opinions are those of Amsoil dealers.

What I'm looking for are individual anecdotal experiences of product users. Things like make and model of vehicle, number of miles, observed performance/economy/reliability changes.
