Unhappy Speaker Problem

Hello I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I am having problems with my back right speaker. One day it will work then the next day it will not work. I have looked at the wires that is connected to the speaker and it looks fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

Re: Speaker Problem

Possibly the speaker is going out on you. If you have another speaker available to test with, try hooking it up to the wires to that speaker and see if you get the same thing happening. If the repalcement speaker does the same thing, then it may be a wiring problem or the radio is going bad. If it doesn't then you know its the car's speaker is going bad. That's how I diagnosed my rear speaker problems before I replaced them. I used one of the speakers from my home stereo unit. Good luck.

Thank you! I will have to try that when I can get it to mess up again.
