Painting rims, need to move weights!
I want to competely strip the wheels and repaint them black. i'm going to have to take off the weights. Can i just use my weights glued to the otherside of the wheel, or should i buy stick on weights. I'm on a short budget so spending $40 to get rebalenced is something i don't wanna do. Would i have to rebalence them after being painted? Thanks

If you are removing the tire to paint you will have to rebalance, if not then remove the weights, tape off the tire and then place a piece of tape away from the edge of the rim and mark which weight goes back where, then place a piece of tape over this lightly, this way you can get them back where they came from. If you want them to blend in just paint the weights too before putting them back on. You cant just move weights to the inside of the rim to hide them, tires are balanced side to side as well as the circumference.
