morning starting
i have a 93 p71 and in the mornings when i start my car it idles real slow almost ready to stall for first 15 seconds then it sort of revs up and goes back to normal idle. im trying to figure out what is causing this problem. because i watch my battery volt meter on the dash and when i first start her up the meter is running very low and erratic. it also seems like it doesnt run very good till it gets warmed up

Re: morning starting
Have you checked the idle speed control motor?

Re: morning starting
A small round electric motor that sits behind the intake (drivers side)down under the wiper housing. Yhere is a wiring connection and a hose going to it.

Re: morning starting
I would also wonder about T-Stat for slow warm ups. Coolant sensor can have a role in this too. The sensor is the way it to go rich for a choke. But yet not flood engine with to much gas.
