What color for neons

still undecided if I want a neon or led undercar kit....but anyway

what color do you think I should get?

my car

I was thinking red, because my three 12" subs are accented with red, I have red leds shining on them, I have a red CAI and finally the pontiac colour is red, lol

what do you guys think

Re: What color for neons

yeah go with red, but they have this new undercar kit out now that is flexible if ur afraid of breaking the kit.......the flexkit is indestructible, and 100% waterproof! i have a black 1998, with red underhood and trunk neons, so im goign to with red underglo as well! post some pics when u got it all up and colourfull!

Re: What color for neons

where do you live. If you have snow in the winter, a underbody kit of any kiind is useless, cuz chances are it will break/malfunction. I think that the red lighting you described going on in the interior of your car, the accesnting of your subs sounds cool and unique... Just my personal 2cents, if you want to be unique , DON'T put an underbody kit on, leave it to the 16 year olds.

Re: What color for neons

I live in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and we do get snow in the winter....but if it was going to be a big issue, I would just wire them up in such a way I could just remove them in the fall/start of winter and store them till the spring...only mounting them with those cable ties so no biddie really....

but the reason why I wanted those lights is cause I wanted to do something to my car that people could look at. I have about $200(canadian) to play with, and I wanted to do something to the appearence people would notice (example, people dont notice exhaust tips)....and I dont have enough money for rims or a hood right now....

unless u guys have a better suggestion on how to spend 200

Re: What color for neons

y dont u save the 200 for a few more months, and the hood or rims money will add up quicker.......put the 200 back for the rims and let it build a lil interest!

Re: What color for neons

im mean your right about that, but by the time I have the 1500+ saved for rims and rubber, it will be the fall/winter.....and I would of missed the whole "driving" seaons....I could save up the $$ for rims over the winter till for next spring

I wanted to be able to get something for this year

how much is a nice looking hood anyway?

well, www.pfyc.com has two nice hoods for the GP, however they are, I think, $600 for one, and about $700 for the other, I am not sure, but I know they are in that ballpark...I am waiting to get one myself.

Re: What color for neons

SAVE IT. lol, you live in a place that gets snow man.... i lived in michigan and have had over 4 body kits in my life time, they all lasted less then 1 year because of winter and the snow. Plus, i hated them, when can you turn them on? certainly not while your driving, unless you go to car shows and have them on your show-car then i think they are pretty impractical, but if i were you... i would take that 200 and either get a new PCM or a good CAI system..... or if you are trying to go all appearance, go to zzperformance.com and have them custom make some decals for your car.... you could totally change your cars appearance with a nice full set of decales, and they even let you design your own and do custom colors. Better them some lights that everyone else puts on their cars.... just my two cents. do what makes you happy !
