i have a 92 chevy 1/2 ton . 350 and 700r4. when the truck is running and in park my odometer turns continusly as well as my speedometer says im going like 15 mph. it sucks because yesterday i only drove 22 miles but the odometer says i put 135 miles on it. i really need to fix this because in just 1 month it says i have put 9000 miles on it. i would never be able to sell it with the mileage like this.

You might need a new speedometer or have it recalibrated...or....take apart your dash(i dont know how different chevy truck components are from an 89 camaro's or if you have an electronic or mechanical speedo) and see if your odometer/speedometer gear clusters are broken or if anything is messed up. This happened to mine when a little plastic tab that held broke and made the gears not line up. It was like that when i got the car so Im not sure if my car realy has the miles it says it does but its fixed now. I had to drill a small screw in to hold the gear cluster in place. Another piece is broken that keeps it from working but its not binding anymore. I hope this helps.
