f430 (Troubles with red)

Man it is hard to finish stuff on sunday.
I shaded my red with dark red. Is that bad?

Not as cool as the orange and yellow on the mustang.

Re: f430 (Troubles with red)

With the shadowing falling the direction that it is, you might want to try a highlite or two on some of the high crowns on the front of the car. If you still can. The side highlites are fine.

Re: f430 (Troubles with red)

As Clearhooter posted--your front end looks a little too "dull" in color, based on your light source.
Needs a little more hightlighting.

Great drawing.

Wow man that looks great.
Nice coloring job.

I don't have much to say. I guess some lighter tone on the hood but other than that I think it is fantastic.

Re: f430 (Troubles with red)

It's weird how letting someone critique brings out the obvious. None of my friends are graphic artist. But I take my stuff over to their house and let them look at it anyway. As they look at it, I do as well. I put them under a different lighting or am able to stand away from it and get a different perspective. Maybe drink a beer or few over it. (Not recommending this.) I usually come up with something I need to do that obviously needs to be done. When I worked at a newspaper as a pressman; none of the writers proofed their own work. It was said it couldn't be done efficently. Probably the same goes here.

Thanks bonzelite - asaenz - clearhooter and blip
You are all very cool to reply to my stuff.
I don't know if they are car haters at the
"drawing board" but they never have
much of anything to say. Most of them are much
better than I will ever be but don't even take the time
to make suggestions.
Clear Hooter, you are right about proofing stuff
It is really hard for me to see the mistakes in my work after
looking at it for a long time. Sometimes the mistakes
showup the day after and sometimes not.
But somebody else can point them out noproblem.

Well, if you learned one thing it's that you post here, not over there. Let's see some more work.
