deep tone exhaust

Hey guys! Just trying to get some information about exhaust... I'm looking to purchase a full cat-back for my 98 civic ex, and I was wondering if you guys know of any brands that have a nice deep, throaty tone to them. I don't want a weedwhacker on steroids type sound, but rather a deeper tone. Thanks!

the admin on Hondaswap.com had them(the GTII version), and said theyre are too loud, but the regular ones are said to have a good tone. from what ive heard personally, i like the Magnaflows the best.

Re: deep tone exhaust

the RS*R exmag sounds really good. The GTII is a straight through canister muffler, not bound to sound very good on a N/A car.

Re: deep tone exhaust

oh, btw... i was looking at flowmaster, and read some pretty good reviews about the AT line... What do you guys think? It's a little cheaper, but they said it still produced a sweet tone.

Re: deep tone exhaust

Flowmaster does have some stuff that is relatively quiet, i think it's the 40 series, but they only sell the muffler, you'd have to still pay for the piping, mandrel bending, etc. The RSR Exmag will come with everything you need, for the most part, hence the extra cost.

Re: deep tone exhaust

Thanks... I was looking at RS*R's website, and it says they only have it for the 2-dr coupe, not the sedan... and wouldn't ya know it, I have the sedan. Guess I'll have to look somewhere else. Any ideas? I've heard some good things about the flowmaster, and from clips I heard it sounded nice, even on a PT Cruiser. What do you guys think?

not ricey persay, but having a flowie on your car makes it sound like a fucking truck. Friend had a flowie on his 89 Accord, sounded like shit.

I think that Apex'i makes the World Sport exhaust for sedans, you should check that out. It's on par with the RS*R ExMag exhaust.

Re: deep tone exhaust

Well... been looking again, and I can't seem to find the Apex'i World Sport system for the sedan either... it's making me angry... do you guys know of any sites that have it specifically?
