Angry 94 Cavalier Problems (95 Engine)

two problems with my cavalier

(1) shakes like crazy when in drive and stopped, BIG vibration through the steering wheel and front dash. Goes away once you're moving, or if you give it a little bit of gas while sitting there.

(2) sputters once it gets warmed up, the engine does this surging kind of thing and the check engine light stays on, again mostly at low RPM's/low speeds. Unrelated to the shaking however.

On a side note, the car seems to never get completely warmed up (tempurature wise), the temp gauge won't move much past 120ish, it seems to always move back and forth between 110 and 120.

I tried to check the codes, but it never has any stored in its memory.

Is this a Ignition Control Unit Problem? A spark plug wires problem? (I replaced the spark plugs, the fuel filter, the idle air valve, and cleaned the throttle body).

Any ideas? Appreciate the help!

Re: 94 Cavalier Problems (95 Engine)

rough idling and sputtering like that could be a number of different things possibly wrong with your fuel line to the engine, or the exhaust leaving it. Try to find out what the code is. right now its hard to say maybe someone else can help you more.
