is it possible to do a 2.5 duratech swap?
hey i have a few questions to ask you guys. Is it possible to do an engine swap with a 2.5 duratech v6 into a 2000 ford focus. does n e body know if the engine mounts have to be changed. What are some of the stuff that i would have to get for the swap if possible. Also my car when i start it up in the morning or after i let it sit for a while it likes to studer like three or two times before it likes to run fine. Also when i am driveing at a regular speed it likes to studer slightly. it starting to piss me off. please help

yeah, I know of a few with the CSVT motor in them, not a direct fit, but it can be done.

The startup stutter is normal, assuming you have a Zetec. The stuttering while driving however, is not. There are a bunch of threads about this, since it's happened to a bunch of people. Normally, it's just some plug wires and plugs that need changine, however a new coil will also help. If all of that fails, it could be the DPFE sensor.
As for the 2.5 V6 swap, the only time I've seen it was in a prototype made by the SVT team when they were designing the SVT. It was very very tight...probably not going to be the easiest thing to do if you're serious about it.
