Re: would this console fit

It won't fit without modifying it, center console years are 1993-96 then they changed for 1997-98

Sure it'll fit. People are putting them into 3rd gens with a bit of fabrication. You can fit pretty much and camaro part into another camaro with a little work. Bolt right up? Possibly, but doubtful.

Re: would this console fit

Yeah, it will definately fit. I swapped out my old console in my bird for a newer one like that. Fit like a dime. But yeah, I'm with cuda_dude, you'll have a little gap. But it's nothing major, you'll probably not even notice it over time. Besides, it's worth having a small gap when you're getting 4 cup holders out of it. That's the only reason why i upgraded mine, I was sick of having no cupholders.

Re: would this console fit

Dont use 93-96 consoles because of the gap between the console and the radio, its better to use 97-02 because taht eliminates the gap, and plus you get 4 cup holders

Do what I did with my "Transmission 2nd Gear Start" button...

Kind of ghetto, but it works.

It does just what it says. When you push the button, it will temporarily disable 1st gear (unless you floor the gas, then 1st gear will kick in), and you will start off in 2nd gear anytime you accelerate from a stop. I've found that it helps save on gas a little bit when using it.
