Sensors

Has anybody had a streak where you fix one sensor and then one by one they keep going? I know it's probably them just going bad from age and mileage but this is three in a row now. Anybody else encounter anything like this that it just seemed like everytime you replace one another one would go. Also the one that went this time was the idle motor sensor, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me that might prove these things aren't going bad and maybe the car is just throwing codes left and right.
