Re: Cafe Racing
Nice, going with the old skool. I don't have any suggestions, but I assume you could google it and see what bikes come up. Good luck with the build! Keep us posted with pics and stuff!

Re: Cafe Racing
The CB750 has been around longer- the original SOHC motor was made, almost unchanged from 1969 to 1978. Overall, the motor design looks a bit more "retro" than the KZ motors (if that's a consideration).
Depending upon where you live, CB750's are still cheap and relatively plentiful. The SOHC CB750 motor is known to be bulletproof, and the aftermarket for these bikes is starting to really take off. check out cb750cafe.com By contrast, the KZ motor is more sophisticated and powerful in stock trim (having double overhead cams). You can also get bigger with the Kaw- over 1000cc (with some moulah). Overall, Honda has much more of a racing history related to the late 60's/early 70's. And more of a following. Also, might want to ckeck EBAY- search "cafe" for parts. That might tell you alot about what you want to know. |

Re: Cafe Racing
Speaking of Kawasaki's, this bike doesn't belong in the KZ family, but it's one of THE coolest early Kaws.

I wonder how much the Honda weighs, it should be fun leaning it.
