anti-lock problem

IVE HAD MY P71 FOR ONLY ABOUT TWO WEEKS. I HAVE A ANTI-LOCK LIGHT THAT COMES UP ON THE DASH DURING STARTUP AND WILL STAY ON PERIODICALLY. BUT WHAT IS WIERD IS TWICE WHILE COMING TO A STOP THE BRAKE PEDAL MADE A VIOLENT PULSATING NOISE, THE PEDAL SORT OF RAISED UP IN PRESSURE AND VIBRATED FOR ABOUT TWO SECONDS THEN IT STOPS. I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS A WARNING FEATURE FOR MY BRAKE SYSTEM OR WHAT. HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT PROBLEM IS, AND HOW DO I FIX IT. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1993 p71

Have a scanner that can read the ABS coses retrieve the code. Also if someone has a scanner that can read the wheel speed sensors, you can compare the speeds of each. You can also pull the wheels and rotors and measure the air gap etween the sensor and tone ring. The gap should be about .040 inch.

Good old way2old is right on with the answer.

What you're feeling is the ABS coming on because the system is detecting wheel lock up.
