My fun little story.....

Ok... as most of you know my car was totalled a while back...
I had been working with eclipserst/jake on doin a 6-bolt swap and turbo + toys install and now it is a new car and a swap...........

So jake tells me he has picked up a 1997 black eagle talon tsi awd... I was all "sweet" and it all sounded good...
Last thursday I call jake to find out how everything is going and he was just at the police station to find out some flaws with the car....

1: He gets title in the mail and it is for a 95 talon..white...
2: He checks the VIN's and it doesn't match the dash VIN
3: The dash VIN doesn't match the door VIN....
The police impound the car until they find out what the deal is with the different VIN's....
Jake told me the car was stolen at one time a while back but was resolved.. insurance...car was found later...sold in auction or something...probably why the guy jake bought it from had to get new title...
I'm hoping the guy sent the wrong title or the state fucked it up...

The only good news jake has told me is that he has the block back from the machinest and it is ready to get built.....

THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone ever had such crappy luck? This is the crappiest for me that I can think of....I just need a new car so I can get a new job....

Re: My fun little story.....

yes. i've had to personaly deal with that a couple times being a car salesman. some states dont brand titles or will even physicaly send you a title if there is still a leanholder on the car insted of holding it untell its payed for. some people take full advantage of that by going across state lines, registering it, get the title, and sell it. montana is like that.

Re: My fun little story.....

Marty... Expect a call at 5pm sharp today. I just got home and saw the messages on my phone. Settle down, no need to get all worked up man. Whether I get this car back or not I owe you a car. So if I get it back then everything is good, if not then I'm out a shit load of money and have to get you a new car. Its my fault, I fucked up so its my responsibility to make everything fine. I get out of work at 5 today (tuesday) so you can count on a call then.

Not only do I love my DSM, but I really like the way that DSM's treat each other. You don't find this with the honduh guys.

Re: My fun little story.....

Yeah... I really do get worked up from time to time.... I got a total of about $10,000 into this and can't just wait...... I hate my new job (boss is the biggest dick I have ever worked for) and need a new one... can't get a new job without a car... I have a few job offers ($$boston scientific$$) but the no-car situation is holding them back... THIS SUCKS!!!!! lol if you all knew the whole story like jake pretty much does you'd probably understand........

Jake... if your out the money...i'll take a trip with ya to "sconsin" and i'll have a little "talk" with the guy and get money back.... You might have the magic stick but i've got the caucasian persuasion!!! LMAO
YES spyderturbo007.. you are right!! DSM'rs are some of the best people/bro's I have ever had the pleasure of dsm'ing with...Y'all are right up there with my buds from my old army days!!! HOO-RAH!!! almost like family
