Brake rotor runout, pulsating brakes
I have just replaced the front brake rotors and pads on my 97' CRV and I'm now experiencing major pulsation when I use the brakes. I've read that rotating the rotors on the hub will reduce this on most vehicles but the Honda has two locating screws on the rotor that prevents me from doing this.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to correct it? The new rotors and pads are made by Monroe. iIve got to fix this problem fast since the pulsation is so dramatic that the vehicle is a hazard to drive. Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Brake rotor runout, pulsating brakes
Take the car to someone who can cut the rotors on the car. Thats the best way to get the rotors true with the hubs.

Do you think the rotors are defective and would trying another set be worth while? Regards, Vicap |

Re: Brake rotor runout, pulsating brakes
Yeah i believe all honda dealers have the on car lathe since thats what honda recommends for resurfacing. You could try another set of rotor. Its possible someone dropped them or they were sitting around for a while and became warped.
