My hood will not lock in place please help
I have a 1999 Mustang GT and I popped the hood at work to check the coolent levels and when I go to close the hood it refuses to lock in place. It has been having problems closing but it would always lock on the second try? Is there anything I can do to fix this as my car is parked outside my office?

Well first make sure you didnt somehow lock the latch w/o the hood closed. Then try lubing it up real good as it may be sticking. Also make sure the release lever is pushed back in all the way, cause when they get stuck the lever sticks out and wont allow the hood to close. If none of those work, its time for a new latch.
