Re: A/C Compressor Not running
The first thing I would do is put my guages on it and see how much refrigerant is in the system. If that level was ok I'd start at the compressor and check backwards to see if I'm getting power to the clutch. Of course, this would require a electrical diagram and a test light. What year Intrigue do you have? Manual or Automatic HVAC? Once I know that I can look at the diagram and look for obvious trouble points, ie fuses, relays, etc.

Re: A/C Compressor Not running
Umm i think you might have given me a set of instructions a little too advanced. Put what gagues on to test the coolant? And its a automatic 99 intrigue

Re: A/C Compressor Not running
I think you're gonna have to find a shop you can trust and see if they can help you out. This problem could be related to refrigerant loss and/or electrical. There are too many variables to consider if you are trying to fix an AC without some prior background. Good luck, and let us know what fixes the problem.

I had this issue with my 98 Intrigue aswell. I just had the AC Compressor replaced because of a loud squeel, Well once I got the car back from the mechanic it was still blowing luke warm air. I thought maybe he forgot to fill up the refrigerant. So he started checking that out, and everything was fine there. He found a blown fuse that was causing the compressor not to turn on. I'm not exactly sure where the fuse is located, All I know is the reason mine wasn't working was because of a blown fuse.
