Is there an emergency eject function on the head unit? Read the owners manual, I'm sure it probably does.

Re: alpine cda 9851

for some reason alot of people ahve this problem, but it actually just "goes away" i've read a few of these online, and even my friend had experience with it

his 9855 got stuck, and he sent it in, they returned it to him saying there was no problem, and it worked fine

try unplugging the wiring harness, then plug it back, it should work
