Smile Revell 1:24 Ferrari F2003GA

Another kit is finished (nice feeling). This time the 1:24 Revell Ferrari F2003GA Formula 1 kit. The Revell kits are cheap and quite simple and many have criticised the kits. Especially the tires, which have actually improved a lot in the recent kits and are now quite nice. Not 100% Tamiya quality, but close.
I am happy about the kit. It looks much better than I anticipated. The fit could be worse, but also better (again not Tamiya quality). But the decals are superb. All the carbon fibre you see is included in the kit. VERY nice indeed. The kit is almost out of the box except:
- Tabu smoke decals (very good – I also bought the Museum collection version. They are crap).
- Etch seat belts. Not completely correct (they are designed for rally cars), but still they look good.
- A few etch nuts around the nose cone.
All in all a very positive surprise. No reason not to buy and built the Revell kits. You get a lot for the money compared with for instance the 1:20 Studio 27 version. I know the 1:20 resin kits are better, but also much, much more expensive.

Good looking build! I hadn't realized Revell had this one out yet (I've seen the 1/12). I'd been wondering if the tyres had gotten any better- glad to hear they have!

Hi Allan, awesome build. Very smooth body, but can you change the tires? Because the arrow on the tire should point to the forward direction. Otherwise, your F2003-GA will running slow as hell.

Excellent. Those Revell F1 kits scrub up nicely with a bit of extra work.
