Need info on 1999 A4 1.8t

Ok, so I'm thinking of purchasing a 1999 A4 1.8t, but i honestly don't know much about it and have seen mixed statistic. So I’d like to ask the patrons of automotive forum for some solid stats.

1/4 mile time?

0/60?

Reliability (in terms of $ spent annually for maintenance on average)?

Ok, now some cursory research into available upgrades has brought my attention to a tuning kit offered by Evolution Motorsports. This tuning kit includes:

EVO Fresh Air induction system
High pressure EVO diverter valve
GIAC PowerPac tuned engine software
Borla 2.5” stainless steel sport exhaust and downpipe
K04 turbocharger
Billet adjustable fuel pressure regulator

They advertise HP/TQ gains of up to 90/120 respectively with a $2999 price tag and an estimate $700 instillation. Is this bang for buck or a rip off?

Is there a better deal for a comparable upgrade?

If a knowledgeable someone would please lend me some insight in these matters, it would be much appreciated.

1. I suggest going for a 1999.5 year model A4 1.8T Quattro instead of the 1999 model.

2. Both APR and GIAC have aftermarket ECU performance upgrade and should be around $500 for the software.
