Wrangler 1999 Automatic Transmission Replacement

Hello

I have a Jeep Wrangler 1999 with the 4.0 L 6 cylinder engine. I have the 3 speed automatic transmission.

Question: Is it possible to replace the Automatic Tranny with a 5 speed manual? If so, what other parts will I need.

Thanks for your help.

Scott

Thumbs down

I think it's possible, but there's going to be a lot of work. Probably more work than it's worth

Re: Wrangler 1999 Automatic Transmission Replacement

There's several posts on the board that deal with the swap; in general it's agreed that buying the vehicle with the trans you want is the better option.
