Towing Capacity 96 Dodge Ram 1500
What Are The Towing Capacities For 96 Ram 1500 With 318. I Want To Tow A 400lb Trailer With A 1000lb Harley On It + Have A 650lb Bike In The Bed. Will The Stock Tranny Cooler Handle It. I Will Be Towing For About 1600km Straight Thru....come On Myrtle Beach Bike Week May 13th

I pulled a 3000lbs car on a 2 wheel car trailer 80mph in overdrive with my 318 auto dakota. for 100 miles tranny didnt even hunt for a gear. but its really flat around here to

won't be any problem at all. I have an 01 RAM 1500 witht he same engine my specs in my book say I can tow up to 5000 lbs. and that is for a Manual trans. so you with an auto Ia ssume will have no problem what so ever with 2200 lbs. I had a Chevy Blazer with a V6 that could tow 2000 lbs. a Dodge ram will have no problem
