need help more sensor problems

hey well i fixed the 02 sensor problem but now there is 2 more besides the closed loop fuel control insufficient coolant temp sensor. One of them is the idle control system, and the other one is IAT sensor circuit. can anybody tell me where they go so i can change them.

Re: need help more sensor problems

IAT is on the lower part of the throttle body just below the TB elbow. It has a brown connect with 6 pins or so. Held on with 2 8mm bolts. Those two codes are probably both for the ISC. It may not be the ISC though, even if the ECU thinks that is it. Check www.vfaq.com and www.crebotech.com for more info and some tests you can do to verify the ISCs functionality. Things like intake leaks, bad FIAVs, or bollixed BISS setting can force the ISC to its maximum travel, effectively rendering it useless. There is no feedback loop from the ISC (open loop stepper motor) to let the ECU know its maxed out. The ECU just keeps trying to move it further, and nothing changes with idle speed. Etc.

Re: need help more sensor problems

They have no effect on power output.

Re: need help more sensor problems

It will affect fuel economy and emmissions, but trims are not used at WOT. So that wont affect power output either once it goes open loop.

Re: need help more sensor problems

That shoud have been a code from the bas O2 sensor. Did you clear the codes after replacing the sensor? They wont go away on their own. Reset them with a logger or scan tool, and see which ones come back. Continue doing this until you have fixed them all.
