05 legacy gt mods

I'm new to the Subaru family with an 05 legacy GT. I was wondering where I can get info and purchase mods for the car. Specifically, I was interested in:

* would 225/45/17 tires fit on the factory wheels?
* aftermarket shifter?

Any help is appreciated...

I have just purchased a Subaru Leg GT(X) from a performance dealer in NY ( Bill Kolb ).. He has a special deal with Subaru to create a new GTX version with a specially made Borla exhaust, strut tower brace, and K&N air filter.. Adds around 15 HP.. And what a lovely note from the exhaust..

They also have plans on releasing a chip for the car later this year..

oooh is the GTX the one with paddle shift available??
