intercooler setup

Hey guys, I would like your opinion on this.....
This would be my plan for a fmic setup on my car.

First, I would get the Dejon tool L and S uicp flanged for type s. Then, I would get a core, like http://forceinductionracing.com/lafrmoin24x1.html.

Since the endtank inlet and outlet holes are 2.5 on the core, and the Dejon pipes are 2.25, would it be an ok idea to get custom pipes from the ic core to the Dejon pipe and use a silicon reducer to connect the 2.5 pipe to the 2.25?

I would be upgrading the to evo3 16g down the road.

The reason I ask this is because this would definately be cheaper than getting a whole Greddy kit, and plus, it's the DSM way to rig things like this lol.

Thanks

Nice core, Mine is 12 x 24 by 4 inches thick. I would recomend you buying a diy intercooler piping kit from ebay (like I did) and making your own custom short route piping, instead of buying those pre-made pipes (they are nice though) My

Bump

C'mon guys, I need opinions on this!!

Other info I didn't really include in the first post is that I want to do it this way so I don't have to do everything at once, so I can do it in stages.
Would I be sacrificing major airflow with this idea?

Do what ever you want, keep in mind longer intercooler piping = more pressure drop. Greedy hard pipes are a good upgrade (dejon tool is better) I would not use them as a route for a fmic.

Hey clipsekid99, I'm selling my dejontool UICP (both L and S pipe). The "L" pipe is flanged for the Greddy Type S bov. I bought them around 2 months ago so they're in good condition. PM me if you are interested in purchasing them from me.
