Angry my pos civic = overheating...

my car just started overheating recently, everything was fine then it just happened. I just changed the thermostat, the radioator cap (was melted pfft) and now im stuck thinking the radiators fan is just not cooling it down when the motor gets hot. any ideas? not much of an explanation I guess.

well, is your fan even coming on?? if so, then it could be your radiator is clogged. Oh and are you losing coolant?

Did you change the antifreeze before it started to over heat? if you did you need to bleed your cooling system to get the air out of it

check the thermostat and like he said, there could be a clog or the antifreez is getting too old.

Angry hmm...

Well, my heat was working before my car started overheating now it doesn't, also the antifreeze is evaporating or leaking I believe, and I noticed antifreeze in my oil. I am thinking heater core, cracked radiator, fan = broken, or head gasket :/ if anyone might have had this problem get back to me asap! btw I just changed the thermostat after it started over heating.

well if you have antifreeze in your oil then it's a head gasket. but maybe your control valve for your heater could of went bad too. Which would be the reason for your heater not working.. It's locate by the firewall under the hood you can't miss it..

Worse case scenerio..........Cracked head or block.......Not trying to break ya spirits. But it could be. They make some dyes you can buy. Depending on where you live and if the car froze during the winter, You could have popped a freeze plug. Seems like I recall some on my motor...

uhhh... Headgasket..... Heres MY old engine when my head gasket blew for the 3rd time

My B7 when it was fine

Bad headgasket And there's the oil mixed with the antifreeze

This is when I opened the engine. Looks nice doesn't it?

My bad headgasket. The more you drive it, the worse it will get. Within days with minimal driving.
