1997 Cbr F3

i was wondering what the best route would be for fixing my rear blinker problem

first off.. i just got my bike about a month ago.. love it... has a few problems..

1) i need a new front fender.. black... which model's fit it... its staying on there.. but i dont know how long...

2) the #%#@@#$ that owned it before me sawed the front brake handle to half its size... why??? his excuse--> "i am used to driving dirt bikes and it feels better to me"...

3) this is the biggie.... first the back fender where the license plate and rear blinkers go ... he sawed off all that plastic... so now i have no rear blinkers and the rear side's arent as solid and the middle comes up and flapps when i ride...

now for what i have fixed...

i bought a new brake lever (15$ off ebay) a non adjustable one... i cant believe how easy they are to put on... one bolt... so now that works great and feels so much better

second i fixed the back fenders.. they are solid and the middle doesnt come up...

now im down to the front fender and the rear blinkers...

i have seen integrated tail lights on ebay that have integrated blinkers for 91$... has anyone purchased these or any of them like it?? it is the full tail light

i have heard of just ones you just take and integrate it into the brake light ... like some box that u put inline... how much do these cost and how hard are they to install?

and finally the rear front fender... will a F2 fender fit mine?.. again its a 1997 F3

Thanks for all the input...

Clinton

as for your ass end. you can do a number of things.

most guys cut the rear mud flap down so to expose the rear tyre for a more chunky look.

it depends on how much as been left behind. do you still have the original indicators or at least the connectors within the rear fender?

you can buy various flushmounts to fit any bike (universal fit) or, like you mentioned, the ones that integrate the indicators into the brake light. all easy to do if you are electrically and mechanically minded.

be wary of led style lights as your flash rate may increase due to the lack of load

you can also get a rack for luggage which usually have brackets to relocate the indicators to.

here's one i prepared earlier.

i made this so i could keep all the stock lights and remove the plastic mud flap and keep it in one piece and still be semi legal with the licence plate light

don't mind the grab rail. its not part of the bracket.

go to the top of the forum just under the header and click on gallery.

then upload your photos to the memeber galleries.

once you have them there you pull up the photo and copy its url to the thread. then it appears as a photo in the thread.
good luck.

ps this may be the long way via alberque but its the only i figured out to do it.
