1990 mercury sable wont stay running

today i went to try and start my car i tried 5 times before it actually started then it ran for about 5 minutes and then died again, i cannot get it running again, it seems like it wants to start but doesnt, ive replaced all the wires/spark plugs, alternator, and started in the past so i dont think any of them are the prob. .. could someone plz help me! thank you

brian,
What condition is your fuel filter in? If you can't remember when you last changed it, start there. You might also have a bad fuel pump.

You didn't mention what year or engine size you have.
