Idle Surge problem
Okay, every time i start my car it has an idle surge problem. I am completely stumped on what may be the problem, i have already replaced a couple sensors, along with the ISC(idle speed controller) and the idle adjustment screw o ring, yet it still surges when its first started and until the engine is hot. Any ideas or solutions for this idle surge problem? thanks.

Re: Idle Surge problem
There is a ton of info between the vfaqs (www.vfaq.com) and www.crebotech.com. And there is even more stuff that you just wont find anywhere. Its a pretty involved system, but not so bad once you understand it. Research as much as you can, try some things, and if you can narrow it down a bit I'll try to help. There are just too many possible causes, and with the limited information given in your post, I wouldnt even know where to begin.

Re: Idle Surge problem
thanks much, i took it in and had them run a scan on it and it threw out some codes saying that it was the idle positioning sensor. Replaced it and it works great!

Re: Idle Surge problem
Right when you look at the throttle body, you will see a sensor on the front of it closer to the head, it has a screw on top of it and one on the bottom, and when u loosen the top or bottom screw u can move the sensor left or right, it was the sensor, if u need more help let me know. Generally it is either that sensor, the ISC or the o ring in the idle adjustment screw.
