Talking Lowering my 97 cavi

OKay Im a newbee around here and I just bought a 97 cavi. I have 17's on the car and the gap between the tire and the wheel well is still to big, it bothers me. lol so do i really need new struts and everything else to lower my car like one more inch? One of my friends said u can get air shocks that lower it a little but the ride would be rough.....what are your guys's suggestions? Thanks!

Lowering spprings would be the best way to go or you can get all kinds of ghetto and just cut your stockers a touch.
