How good is the 95 PA?

I'm planning to buy a 95 PA, but I have no experience with Buick. Till now I drove Oldsmobile and was very satisfied. Can you recommend the 95 model? I read in this forum that there are some electrical problems. Thank you for an answer!

...electrical problems happen in any car,... you will be happy switching to the Buick is all I would have to say,..

i got a 92 ultra ( supercharged) and i love it... i always had small cars and i must say that, getting in my wife's protege so Unconfortable now that i drive this beast.. electrical problems can occur but i dont think it's as bad as any car. its got good heating and cooling and a great car to travel in

my wifes protege is a 2001 and when we go somehwere it's always the buick.

good car thats bullet proof... maintain it and it will last

Quite honestly if you've driven an Oldsmobile (especially more recent models), then you've driven a Buick. They aren't that much different. That having been said, the '95 Park Avenues are great cars. The only thing you need to worry about is the transmission. They tend to die somewhere around 125-160k miles. If it's been rebuilt it should be fine. The older 4T60E transmissions (which is what's in the '95) had some problems with keeping the fluid flowing like it was supposed to. Revised parts have resolved those issues though. I had the transmission rebuilt in my '93 Park Avenue in December. The gas mileage shot up considerably after that. It went from about 22 MPG on the highway to 28!

Watch out for the plastic intake manifolds. I still would not part with my 95.

I have had a 91 Buick PA since 1995. It has been a great car for my family and me. I parked it for 3 years, but it started right back up and is running fine. Very comfortable and plenty of toys to play with.
