Alright, I'm on my way...to be an american!

Hey!

As many of you know I am schedualed to work in Fairfax, Virginia for 4 months. Well, the time has come for me to pack up and ship out. I leave tomorrow morning at 6:30 A.M. from Lethbrige, Alberta and head for a 36 hour drive to Fairfax. If you live around there, or are on the way hit me up, that would be cool if we could meet, I really don't know what times I am going through where, but oh well.

I got my J-1 Working/Travel VISA, so I am happy about that and all should go rather smoothly. My car is getting all the MAF translator stuff put on in, new axles, new struts, BOV, new intake, and more :-)

So, it should run realy nice on the way down there and I really hope to have no worries.

Just thought I would let you know that I will be joining most of you from the US for a few months, talk to you all soon!

I am nowheres near where your going but I thought that I would wish you luck on a safe journey. Make sure that you say hello to the car for me it looks just like mine but mine has some paint defects and it's not a turbo and... well ok its not the same but similar. Have a good time.

Big Huans did you fix the surging of the idle if so what was it.

I am not sure if the surging has been fixed, I am picking up my car today from the shop and then leaving town. When I get to an internet connection, I will hook up my laptop and let you know.

I will surely say hello to the car for you, and yeah mine has some paint issues on the front bumper and a little on the hood, so yes, similar :-)

Hello All Again!!!

I am finally here in beautiful Herndon (close to Fairfax) Virginia!! I love this place, I didn't realize that it was so nice here. I went into DC today, WOW...the washington monument, lincon memorial, capital building...it is so cool.

So yeah, the car was great for the 2500-2600 mile trip and was pretty good on gas overall.

Just thought I would say hello again, so hello!

Ask the car for me if it wants to practice making babies with me. I'm glad that the car ran good for ya I knew she would, I have a lot of faith...ok a little bit of faith but have fun while your there you never know if you'll find another chance to go there so have a good time.

big hauns did youget your idle surge fixed. I found out my problem it was a connecter(green wire) on top of the throttle body on the opposite side of the TPS sensor. I am going to get a new one this weekend.

The idel surge....
I havent figured it out yet, but you say that yours is the green wire? or the connector itself? where does the wire go? Are you replacing the whole wire?

Yeah, i got my car kinda tuned up before I went. I got MAF translator now, new exhaust, oil cooler, boost/air fuel/oil pressure gauges, BOV, new tires, new master cylinder...i think thats it. So, yeah it ran awesome and is WAAAY quicker now.

Anyone from around this area at all? It would be cool to meet up!!

when I take the connecter off it stops and idles high so im going to see where the wire goes tonight and pick up a connecter at a local junkyard. I'll post the results tonight.

I just went and looked it goes right into the main wiring harness so I sure as hell aint gonna replace all of that wire. Im just gonna put a new connector on and the new sensor and hope it goes away it will be a while before I can get the sensor cause I jut bought some brembo brake rotors.

Glad the car ran good for ya and I don't know if that wire with the connector on it that goes to the sensor will fix anything if you replace it. I think that the green wire runs right back to the ECU and maybe that is the problem. I might change that. If I find a good used one what do I have to do to replace it?
