Angry security system

Well I woke up today to my phone ringing. A friend of mine drove by my car and saw that my driver window was smashed. It is the second time in two weeks. Another $200 gone. Anyways does anybody know of any good security systems since the current one isn't working well?

Re: security system

Get a system that detects vibration. Set it to the level that you want so you wont have to worry about false alarms and fucking cats. Lots of cars come with alarms from the factory, but don't usually go off until a door handle is pulled. Which could be helpless in situations where your car is vandalized.

He might also want to get a system with the paging feature that alerts him if the alarm goes off.

I didn't say you told him to get just one feature. I'm also just listing a feature I think importartist should get when he's looking at alarm systems in a shop or online. Importartist, how much are you willing to spend on the new system? Yes, more features is better but more features almost always means bigger price tags. If you're on a budget go with the basics you'll definitely need such as the vibration detection that drew mentioned, self-activation, etc. Get back to us on which security system you chose.

Paging and movement detection are what I'm looking into. Insurance would be something to look into in your situation, too.

A friend from back home had a system that cut the power to the car half a mile after it had been driven without entering a security code. Doesn't apply to vandalism, but would be a good way to stop your car from getting stolen. Anyone know what this system is called?

No, but along with my vibration system, there were some wires that my brother hid thru out my fire wall. Like some wires that connected to my ignition system that keep it from being started with the alarm activated. So if the alarm fails to get anybodies attention in time, they still wont be able to crank my engine.

Maybe you should set up a video camera so you can get a picture of who is doing this to your car and take it to the police.
